Doppio Zero Sandton

Happy new year everybody! Today we ended up in Sandton City for lunch. Doppio it was, from the limited open restaurants selection. Busy lunchtime service. We opted to be seated on the upper dinning level, with views overlooking Sandton Drive. The service was good all around even though it took a while for the food to come out( which we didn't mind as it was very busy). It gave us a chance to catch up. The food was well prepared, presented and really tasted good. We enjoyed our lunch very much. Being summer, choicing to be seated on the upper level was a calculated move on our part. It was very breezy and cool, which added to a pleasant lunch date ambiance. We could also enjoy the rain coming down as the walls are mostly made of glass for better views and bringing the outdoor in.

I recently visited this restaurant and was genuinely impressed by the quality and freshness of the food. The menu offers a wide range of options, from vibrant salads and protein bowls to thoughtfully prepared main plates, which makes it easy to find something that suits different dietary needs. I opted for the grilled Mediterranean hake with warm greens. The hake was perfectly cooked, tender and flavourful, complemented by a fresh olive and caper salsa served on the side. The warm greens were well balanced and not overly oily, allowing the natural flavours of the vegetables to stand out. It was a satisfying meal that felt wholesome without being heavy. The menu is clearly designed with fresh ingredients in mind, and there are good lean protein options such as grilled chicken, hake and salmon. The portion sizes are generous, and there is flexibility in choosing sides, which makes it easy to customise your meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and service was efficient. Overall, it is a solid choice if you are looking for fresh, well-prepared food with healthier options that do not compromise on flavour. I would definitely return.

I have continued to visit this branch and it just keeps getting better! Kagiso is always so helpful, in a great mood, and goes the extra mile to make clients happy. Thank you for the outstanding service! —— I was in Sandton City and decided to give Doppio Zero a chance instead of going to my usual spots – and I am so glad I did! My waitress, Lindiwe, was incredibly friendly and attentive, even though I was seated behind a wall where you would only be noticed if someone genuinely cared. The menu is wonderfully varied, with something to suit every palate. The coffee was excellent, and the Doppio breakfast I ordered was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is clean, stylishly decorated, and very inviting. If you are looking for a relaxing break while shopping, this is the perfect spot. I will definitely be coming back!

Food was good. Flapjacks a bit dry could have done with some cream or sauce. Won’t rush back . Might come back for some of the cakes which looked very good.

Would be easy to overlook this as 'just' an outlet in a mall. But it's brilliant. We shared three dishes from the surprisingly extensive menu. Everything was excellent particularly the firecracker cauliflower and prawn avo pawpaw salad. Service very friendly and efficient, prices reasonable. I hope they open a branch in London!

Went for dinner, upstairs and oh my days! What a beautiful view i will definitely be dining here soon. The staff is absolutely amazing

Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant especially being seated upstairs by the windows and looking at the scenic view of Rivonia Road. The restaurant was warm while outside was a bit chilli therefore creating comfort and enjoyment. Had a Rump steak and it was just average, it’s a 3/5 for me for the meal. Our waiter was friendly with a prompt service. I recommend Doppio Zero Sandton City for cozy dates and small gatherings, the place is wonderful for conversations and music isn’t loud.

The staff are wonderful,always quick and willing to help. Special mention to Craig for going over and beyond to assist with a difficult request. This is the best doppio zero,friendly staff,beautiful seating area upstairs,food is always done right,coffee is perfect and the wait staff work hard to ensure you are assisted.
